• The West Jefferson Behavioral Medicine Center offers free, confidential, mental health and substance abuse screening assessments.
• Qualified mental health professionals conduct assessments.
• After the assessment, individuals are scheduled to meet with a psychiatrist for a complete psychiatric evaluation, if indicated.
• The assessment and referral department then coordinates services needed. We facilitate by introducing clients to staff in appropriate program or refer clients to an individual therapist.
• If we are unable to provide needed services at our facility, we make referrals to appropriate community resources. We provide individuals with phone numbers and contact information.
